Any and all information contained within the case management system database is recorded with an understanding that the information is true and correct in as far as all aspects of the documents physically filed with the Clerks of various Courts. Effective July 1, 2022- re:SearchGA Dear Court partners, legal professionals, and citizens: In our continued efforts to provide the most up-to-date, secure, and effective electronic access to your cases and court records, we introduce you to re:SearchGA. Beginning July 1, 2022, we will transition from Portal to re:SearchGA for all of your case search needs. In 2017, all Chatham County Courts — Recorders’, Magistrate, Probate, State, and Superior Court converted to the Odyssey Case Management System. This conversion was necessitated as the prior case management system had reached the end of its service life. The conversion was also done in anticipation of the rapidly approaching Mandatory Civil E-Filing in 2019. At the time of the conversion into the Odyssey Case Management System, the Courts were able provide access to users to look up and print court documents. The system that allowed this ability to search is Portal. Portal continues to be an option to view court documents but does not allow parties their "no charge" access to document s in the case. January 1, 2019, State and Superior Courts were legislatively ordered in Senate Bill 407 to begin mandatory electronic civil E-Filing. The Legislative requirements for E-Filing, mandated that Attorneys and self-represented litigants have access to view and download all electronically- filed documents in their case. To meet the new mandate of SB407, the reciprocal program re:SearchGA was created to allow Attorneys, self-represented litigants and users to search for cases and access documents. We are transitioning away from Portal to perform case searches to re:SearchGA as the sole method of case research and document retrieval. This transition is done in continued compliance with SB407 and to ensure continued safety and security of Court records. re:SearchGA is a robust and resilient system and will help move us towards our future technology needs. Lastly re:SearchGA provides the best system security. Courtroom Livestreams Smart Search Citizens view cases and documents. Search Hearings Search for court hearings for a specified date range. Make Payments Make a payment for criminal and traffic cases for Recorder’s Court only. eFile Georgia File a case online with eFile Georgia re:Search Public access to view cases and eFiled documents per O.C.G.A 15-6-11 and 15-7-5. re:Search Instructions and Information for re:Search Probate Records Probate Court Records Search Court functions may change outside what has been defined in the Judicial Order.
